Today marked the end of the regular season for our U16 Phoenix Phutures team and a clean sheet of 8-0 in our division winning every game against Birmingham Lions, Sheffield Giants and Rugby Rhinos.
Team captains, Malachy McMahon (Offence) and Jonte Hinton (Defence) have been Phoenix players since they were 11 in the first Phoenix U14 Flag team and have led their U16 now for two seasons. However, this year's team of both experienced and new players has bonded to give Tamworth the biggest and best team for years.
In this new Northern Conference, Southern Division, Phoenix Phutures U16 has proven unstoppable and is now off to the Northern Conference playoffs in Edinburgh in few weeks. We know they'll smash it!!
