Phoenix look to bolster coaching talent

After a narrow defeat in the BAFANL Premier Division semi-final versus the reigning national champions the Tamworth Phoenix now look ahead to the 2016 season and beyond. Returning head coach Martin Hilton is looking to build up the coaching staff to support offensive and defensive coordinators Dan Smith and Jason Scott.

There are a number of positional coaching positions available and other opportunities with the Midlands premier club and Coach Hilton is excited to get his staff in place ready to continue building on a successful first year that has established a new foundation for the Phoenix throughout the program.

Potential coaches should have the following:

  • A willingness to learn from the head coach and the coordinators
  • The desire to better yourself and your players, Tamworth strives to improve its team, players and club every week and you will become a part of this.
  • Candidates will be leaders for the players so must show enthusiasm and passion for the sport and the team.
  • BAFCA Level 1 qualification, but if not assistance to achieve that will be provided. All successful candidates will be supported by the club to develop themselves as coaches.
