Phoenix program’s on-field development sees two added to U19 coaching staff

With a revamped constitution already benefitting the ongoing off-field development of the Tamworth Phoenix program, the innovative structure is now also seeing benefit in supporting on-field development.

After playing key roles in leading Phoenix teams to success on the field in 2015, coaches David Lockwood and Jonny Flowers are stepping up to take roles with the recently reestablished Phoenix under-19 Junior team.

Phoenix liftathon to raise money for Help for Heroes as part of Phoe-Day

Sunday January 31st will see the Tamworth Phoenix program come together for a special ‘Phoe-Day’, another early opportunity for the 2016 Phoenix to work hard and bond together as a team.

The main event of the Phoe-Day will be a charity liftathon event held at the Fitness Hub, Tamworth, raising money for Help for Heroes. With the aim being to break a collective target of over 50,000kg lifted, participants will select a weight to complete as many repetitions of bench press as possible with.

Phoenix relaunch under-19 American Football

Young people are being offered the opportunity to be a part of the Tamworth Phoenix’s under-19 team, as the latest step of the programme’s forward-looking development will see the team relaunched to compete in the 2016 British National League season.
